Nike tennis shoes-have a question

I don’t see a loop. I thought you were talking about the one with the hard plastic loop that sticks out; those look weird to me. But these seem fine.

Ok, these are the ones I figured you meant. I do think they look strange and wouldn’t get. But they do seem popular. But a lot of times people overlook their own personal opinion/preference in order to have something them think is “in”

Don’t do that. If you actually like them get them, but if you are second guessing then don’t. There are so many neutral looking shoes out there, don’t get something you don’t love

Op here. They are very comfortable so I will keep them. I was just wondering if the”loop” had a purpose? For example, securing a pant leg while on a spin bike. The website nor reviewers mentioned it in the description.

There is a knot and lacing method called the runner's loop that uses the loop to keep your heel secure and prevent toes from sliding forward in your shoe.

Other practical reasons - helps you put on your shoe (finger in loop instead of back of shoe) and you can use loops to hang shoes for drying if you wash them.

Thank you!

Its to help put on your shoe. Or to hang them to air out.
