No thread for volleyball, so throwing this question here under General sports: I have a 10, turning 11 this fall. She’s interested in volleyball, but I’m not finding options for her age. Any suggestions near Fairfax city, Burke or Annandale?

That's because volley is mostly a spring sport. |
I don't know if I would call volleyball a spring sport, but the high school season eats up most of the time from now until club tryouts. I do see that some travel clubs are already having clinics on nights and weekends.
... I don't think FPYC's volleyball program has been revived. ... A friend of mine is involved with the volleyball program over at Vienna Youth (VYI). I thought I had a better website that was shared with me, but this is all I can find right now: https://vyi.org/volleyball/about-volleyball https://vyi.org/volleyball/about-volleyball/frequently-asked-questions If I can find more info, I'll share. |
All volleyball clubs will have clinics in the fall for players who are younger than high school- however not many will have them specifically for 10-11 yo. Metro, paramount and mojo definitely do, not sure who else. I think the st James May as well. |
Mclean: https://www.mojovolleyballacademy.com/page/show/8624964-pre-season-clinics Springfield: https://thestjamesvolleyball.com/training/ Mclean and Arlington Youth League is great for beginners. Great coaching staff - super positive! |
