Suggestions for Financial/Retirement Advisor with Fiduciary Responsibility?

Anonymous
Title pretty much says it all.... I'm retiring this year, and am looking for any suggestions or referrals for someone in the DMV area who is an awesome financial/retirement advisor bound by fiduciary duty. Looking more for individuals versus companies, unless the company is extremely small and high quality. Am a high net worth individual, but not crazy high. Thanks in advance!

Why do you want to pay a 1 percent or so assets under management fee? (There can be good reasons for certain situations, but for most it is a too expensive way to go.)

Not for everyone but I use Cassaday and Company in Tysons. They take a percentage but in my case they have more than paid for themselves.

You can find a fiduciary advisor at NAPFA https://www.napfa.org/

About 20% are pretty good. The top 3% are worth 2-10X the fee. Find someone that specialized in retirement planning and tax planning.
