| What do you think of color drenching, which, as I understand it, is painting the entire room the same color, including the trim and often ceiling. I believe sometimes a different sheen is used on the trim though. I’m debating doing this but can’t decide if it’s too much. If you did this and like it, what color and sheens did you use? |

I like it in a room that is meant to be a retreat or getaway especially if it's somewhere meant to be dark -- a bedroom or a den. I've seen it with a rich dark teal or maroon and with complementary textiles and the right lighting it can be really nice.
We can't really get away with it in our home because it's small and virtually all rooms are multi-use -- bedrooms are also offices and workout spaces and the common areas are all open to one another. But if we had a separate office or a den I would love to do a room in hunter green with dark floral curtains and a velvet sofa and dark woods. A little retreat afor watching movies or visiting with guests after dinner. |
| What color? What room? I’ve done it for a powder room in dark blue and a bedroom in a light sea foam/aqua. |

I did it with very light blue flat paint in a nursery and I love it. It has cleaned up fine so far, but I DIY paint so the cost is low and I figured we’d redo it in the kid years at some point anyway.

I have rooms that are color drenched in white. Does that count?
--- I actually hate it for anything other than a bathroom. |
This is close to what I’m considering but for a little boy’s room. |
If you’re a person who hires painters and it’s a major expense for you, I might say don’t do it. For me it was funsies and I could change it back for $150 and a Saturday. |
