2022 VW Tiguan Issues

Anonymous
Has anyone else had issues with their newer Tiguan? This is possibly the worst car I have ever owned. The throttle lag is downright dangerous. I step on the accelerator and get a 1-3 second "stall" before it engages. I finally got a VW tech to admit to me that it is a design flaw in the car and VW can't correct it. All of which wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the Travel Assist Warning going off randomly and continuously. I read that some dealers have replaced the steering wheel to fix it, but it doesn't always work. So much for ever buying another VW.

I was wondering why the resale prices were so reasonable. VWs used to be so reliable, what a shame. My brother owned a lemon a decade ago and tells everyone he knows to never buy one. I'm sorry, OP. I hope you get some helpful replies.

0-60 in 9.1 seconds...I don't think it's an "issue" that has a fix it's just way way underpowered

Nope. OP here. There is an acceleration response of 1-3 seconds when hit the pedal. VW knows it. Check any VW forum. There is also a class action suit.

I agree it's not ideal, but the timing sounds similar to those vehicles that have the start-stop feature, except the Tiguan is not being fuel efficient in the process?
