Do people use these services? It seems shady at first but given all the other things people do like starting non-profits for their kids to clean up a stream in the jungles of Uganda, donating a lot of money, Varsity Blues, and who knows what else I guess it all falls on a spectrum.
So just being real and without judgment since we're all anon here I wanted to ask if anyone successfully used such services and which one? |
| Yes. Everyone uses them, |
? we didn't. I guess we were fools. |
No. Not us. Dd going to top 15 school. She can write and we can edit. |
| With AI, are they necessary anymore? Between Co pilot, ChatGPT and others like Writesonic I think even the shell of an idea could be molded into a good essay. |
| AI is discouraged and can be spotted pretty easily. |
| What I'd be interested in is review/feedback on essays paid for "by the hour". Seems like all these "services" want a huge fee up front. |
| Just use AI to organize your ideas into a workable first draft and then rewrite in your own words. |
| Just post the essay here. This is such a generous and caring group I'm sure you'll get valuable, constructive feedback. |
There are lots of people who help students with essays on an hourly basis. |
I do it for free. |
While I get the sarcasm, do not post an essay on any public forum or search engines will view it as a plagiarized writing. |
I’ve done it. Send a rough draft that your kid prob won’t use. Have them revise it for $149 to see what the service is like? |
I am an editor and would probably bother to give "valuable, constructive feedback." It would get lost in a sea of insane attacks, though. |
