Has my broccoli gone bad?

During a sale, I stocked up on a few Stouffers Mac and Cheese dinners with broccoli.
The broccoli pieces all have red rings around the stems. I've had this meal many times and have never seen this. Does anyone know if the broccoli has gone bad? Google doesn't tell me much. Thank you for any thoughts; they are greatly appreciated. |

| What's the best by date? Does it smell bad? I mean worse than regular broccoli. Humans evolved to detect spoiled food, so trust your senses. |
