Our air fryer died and the kids are desperate for a new one. Can you recommend yours by brand and size if you like it? We aren't cooking full meals in there, just chicken fingers, fries, warming pizza type things.

| These are relatively simple and inexpensive appliances, so it's probably not worth worrying too much about trying to find "the best" one. I bought mine at Costco and it works well, but I expect a well-reviewed one from amazon would function pretty similarly, as would units from local stores. You can probably safely choose based on size/capacity and price. |

| I love my instant brand one. I think it’s the vortex plus 6 qt. I do wish we had the bigger one with the two side by side trays, we we could do nuggets and fried at the same time. |

I recently bought a Ninja 6qt air fryer. I like it well enough, but there are some annoying things:
1. It is a little small IMHO. To give you an idea of space, you can fit the equivalent of a medium order of Five Guys' fries. Four hot dogs. Three hashbrowns from Trader Joe's. This is just like, my opinion or whatever, but I think the circular shape of the fryer is not a great use of space, especially if I were reheating pizza or something bulky. 2. I agree with a PP that it would be nice to have a dual zone one if you make meals like tots and nuggets. I can either cook fries OR the meat, not both together. 3. Probably a me problem, but the interior tray is hard to pull in and out. Except when it falls out when I am dumping fries into the family fry bucket. Then it's a hot flying danger disk 
4. My in-laws have a different air fryer that beeps periodically to remind you to shake the fries or whatever you're cooking. The Ninja air fryer does not have this function, you have to watch the clock and manually pause the machine and shake. Sort of annoying. All in all it's fine because I literally only use it to make french fries. So as a french fry maker, it's great, and I like that it doesn't take up more space in my kitchen or splatter grease like a real deep fryer. Easy enough to wash, too. |

| We have the Cuisinart version of the Breville smart oven and I absolutely love it. I bought a few small sheet pans to go with it - cleanup is very easy. |

I love my Cuisinart 6 qt air fryer. I use it every day. Roomy square basket and I buy the Baker's Signature 8" paper liners that fit perfectly. We put a fresh one in each time and just toss it afterwards--no cleanup! Really attractive machine, too. |

I also bought a Gourmia one and it was awful. No matter how much I cleaned it the plastic smell was always there. Replaced it with an air fryer/toaster oven combo instead |
