| Is there a site that lists all the REA and EA options. DD wants to REA to Georgetown and ND and I think she should add some safeties and obv we've looked at schools already on her list, but when looking for ideas we wanted to just see what the options were.. does a site like that exist? |
| Common App has a chart that can be sorted by EA. Click the application requirements button. |
| You cannot REA to more than one school. |
| NP, Notre Dame and Georgetown allow REA to more than one school. SCEA does not allow EA to other private schools that notify in December. |
well that's not true. |
Yes it is. You can REA and EA but you can’t REA to two schools. That’s what the R means. |
DP. What the R means, the restrictions, are different for different schools. For Notre Dame and Georgetown, the only restriction is that you cannot also apply ED elsewhere. For HYPS, the restrictions are more extensive, such that applying EA to any other private university is also prohibited, although there are notable exceptions to those restrictions. |
| ^^(And to be crystal clear, you can absolutely apply REA to both Notre Dame and Georgetown.) |
You're wrong, but I dont care. |
Here we go again SCEA (we don’t care what they call it): HYPS, no applying early to any private schools because we are jerks. REA Notre Dame and Georgetown only; apply early to any school you want to, just don’t apply ED. ED: we get a bad rap but you can apply early to any private school you want to, just not ED. We aren’t in that sense any more restrictive than those SCEA jerks… |
here we go again: this is incorrect. glad you're self correcting after being 100% wrong on this. |
Wrong. This is what you said and it's incorrect. |
Helpful, thanks |
DP. Note that there are exceptions to the SCEA rules that may allow applying EA to privates if required for scholarship consideration. Best to read each school's rules. |
| My DD REA’ed to both Georgetown and ND. The PP I who is saying otherwise is a moron |
