| DC would be a rising 9th grader novice. DC did their 2 week camp and is wants to try it either year round or for spring season. Interested to hear any feedback about experiences, time commitment, coaches, etc. TIA! |

My kid did it a few years ago. Hated the head coach but liked teammates. For example, the coach screamed at a kid for prioritizing taking the SAT over a regatta. I didn't like the fact that they often finished after dark (not intentionally, but they always always seemed to finish late), which made pickup challenging for parents, and meant that they had to traipse through the woods to the parking lot after dark.
Still-- I let my kid do it and all in all, they were happy to have participanted. |
