Help me Start the Search…

We just found out DD 23 is going away with her BF and his family to Europe for Xmas. Her brother (20) is kind of upset because it will be the first Xmas the family isn’t together, and we are a small family— it’s just the three of us, plus some far away cousins. Their dad is not in the picture, nor is his family.

I would like to take him on a maybe 4-6 night trip somewhere special so he has something to look forward to. I am lucky enough to be able to say cost isn’t a major issue.

Where would be good over the holidays out of the US that isn’t swarming with tourists but decent weather, with fun city things to do and some nature?

Or maybe I am thinking of this wrong, and he would enjoy an all-inclusive resort in like Cancun or Belize where he might meet some other kids his own age and have more fun.

I want to narrow it down a bit and then I will talk to him. He is the type of kid where if I say “where do you want to go?” he will just shrug and say “I don’t care, you pick.” He will be more likely to give input if I say, “what are your thoughts on A, B or C.”

Can you help get me started?
