And like I have no idea where I am or having spatial awareness.
I think it’s because I’m always in my head and I’m thinking of 100 different things. How can I stop so I can come across as more present and in the moment? |
Get yourself tested for ADHD
ADHD meds.
I literally had to train myself to periodically think "what am I supposed to be doing right now?"
Or autism, OP- for the lack of with-itness, not the spatial issue- that does sound more ADHD.

Do you have a lot of built up frustration? Did you grow up being told you have tons of potential but then fail to meet almost all expectations due to being spacey, missed deadlines, etc? Welcome to undiagnosed ADHD 😁 Definitely see a psych and get an evaluation, it helps get over the past and move forward being more comfortable with yourself.

ADHD. This is my kid. However, even on the maximum dose of ADHD medication that works for him, he's still dreamy and lacks spatial awareness. He got it from me, but I've been able to function without meds. However, there is a big gap between how much we live in our heads. You figure out where you lie on the spectrum and see a doctor if you are low-functioning like my kid.
