When does your official season start?

SYC - practice started 7/15

We're at SYC too, not all the teams have started yet. I haven't seen of the lower teams start yet. However, GA teams have and even at 2 days per week, I thought it was early.

Our team is doing a "voluntary invite only week long camp" the week of August 12th, have a preseason tournament the weekend BEFORE labor day weekend, but start official practices after the first tournament (were told they might add some practices for the tournament but we were suppose to play Labor day weekend, but the opposing talent wasnt as good so we switched). So a little bit of a mishmash, but mostly because we wanted to play better teams

Practices started once a week the last week of June. Due to weather a couple of weeks they were cancelled. In August Practice is supposed to be twice a week. I'm not sure what is optional vs mandatory or when the "official" season starts.
