We haven't been seeing many shower curtains in the newer/renovated homes. Even the hall bathroom tub/shower combos don't have them very often. Are shower curtains out of style? |
Glass doors are more regal, easier to clean, and don’t usually stink. |
Are water stains in the drywall the floor below in style? |
I mean, are you seeing bathtubs with showerheads without a shower curtain? I don't get the question. |
Pp WUT |
OP here. I should have said that we're seeing glass doors even on the tub/shower combos. So you open the glass door to get in the tub to take a bath or shower.
I still like shower curtains too, but am wondering if they're no longer in style? |
“Passé” is passé. |
With kids, I definitely use a tub with a shower curtain and look for that in an house. Even sliding glass doors are a pain when bathing toddlers. |
Shower doors look sharper, but shower curtains are very practical in many situations, so they are fine. I don’t have a fancy tub, just a shower/tub combo. I like the shower curtain because I like to have it all the way open during a bath. A glass door feels claustrophobic. I replace shower curtains and liners often. |
+1 Doors are a pain if you bath little kids. |
Or dogs! |
If you wash the shower curtain and liner regularly, it doesn't stink. Just toss them in the washer and then hang them to dry. I find it way more time consuming and gross to clean glass shower doors-hard water stains, streaks, etc. |
You either need one or you don't. When we renovated our bathrooms, we opted for glass enclosures because I thought they looked nicer and were better for lighting. |
What kind of liner? Plastic? |
