Heads up if you take Rock Creek Parkway as part of your commute. |
| Bibi Netanyahu, I believe. |
| Netanyahu |
| Ugh. Thank you. |
| Unsatisfied with destroying Gaza, Israelis now set their sights on destroying Washingtonian’s commutes. |
We do that all by ourselves. So dramatic. |
| Why one full week? Is Netanyahu here that long? |
|
I work in Virgina and live in DC. Closing ROck Creek by the Kennedy Center / Watergate is crushing. This morning was ugly. I think I'm going to leave early and go home over the Chain Bridge, which adds 15+ minutes but is at least pretty.
Why around the Kennedy center for the entire week?? This seems excessive. |
Maybe he's staying at the Watergate? |
No dignitary, just a war criminal. |
There's blocks of buildings almost completely closed off for a week. It sucks for us but it really sucks for them. These are the things that really drive home the second class status of DC. |
| They usually let foreign dignitaries stay in that house next to the WH to avoid all this. I wonder if this is a subtle distancing or snub, not letting him stay there, or if he wanted to stay elsewhere. Sometimes they stay at the ritz which at least only shuts down K at and BLM plaza. |
| He’s staying at the Watergate. The protests have already started and will continue until he leaves. The largest protest will be when he addresses Congress on Wednesday- people are coming from all over the country for that one. |
There's likely a very large entourage with him. I also wonder if it's a protocol thing. He was invited by Congress not the White House so maybe that's why Blair House isn't being used. The other part of the problem is that they've expanded the perimeter to include the Saudi Embassy (hmm... the Watergate is very convenient in that regard) and GW's Chabad. |
| After the fiasco that nearly got Trump killed, I’m sure security is taking no chances. When does Bibi leave? I have a Friday appt in Arlington that I wanna be on time for…. |
