Post removal; quasi sock puppeting

I wonder if it's possible, when you remove a post, to replace the text with "Post removed to due XYZ violation", rather than just deleting it. I'm fine with your judgment calls, but I'd like to know what rule was broken when my post, or one I wanted to revisit and can no longer find, is removed.

Also, are you monitoring how many new threads are started by a single user? Is there a threshhold where "abuse" of an open forum begins? I'm thinking of all the wedding threads on Off-Topic. I wouldn't be surprised if they're all started by the same individual, and frankly, it's getting out of hand. Half the responses are along the lines of "another wedding thread??"
