Tesla - lease question

| We leased a Tesla car last year in the mid-west and then recently relocated to MD. In order to get a MD car registration Tesla Finance needs to give us a letter authorizing the car transfer to a new state. Ofcourse - Tesla folks refuse to respond to our request - we have emailed and left multiple voice mails. Have gone to the dealership in both locations and the people there are clueless. We are stuck with an out of state registered car. Breaking the lease is an expensive option - wanted to check with people on this forum to see if anyone else had a similar situation. If yes, what did you do? |

I am the OP - putting an update incase someone else comes by this forum with a similar situation.
I kept calling the tesla finance number and did NOT follow the prompts. I dialed an option to make a payment and got a human on the phone. Once you have that - they replied to my emails and started the process for the title transfer. Also call between 12:00 noon and 6:00 pm EST. |
