Book recommendation for Pacific NW

Anonymous
When I'm on vacation somewhere I like to read fiction or historical fiction about the place I'm visiting. Any recommendations for Seattle/Pacific NW? Don't say Twilight.

Thanks!

Emily St. John Mandel is from that part of the country, and I'm pretty sure it casts and influence in many of her novels. You could start with Station Eleven.

OP here - I loved Station Eleven. Will look at some of her other books.

That's great. I'm not sure all the other ones quite live up to that, but I am going to start Sea of Tranquility soon.

Here’s a historical romance set in Seattle, but I’m not sure how historic it actually is.

The guy that wrote The Art of Racing in the Rain is from Seattle and I think almost all his books take place there. I’m currently reading a sudden light which is about a timber family living outside Seattle.
