Carmax or Carvana to sell?

Trying to sell a good car. Do you recommend Carmax or Carvana?

Is track your value on Carvana worth it?

Carmax. Carvana is lax on the paperwork and can get you into trouble.

I’ve sold two and haven’t had an issue. They place a short hold on the check so don’t expect to use the funds until afterwards.

I sold a few cars to Carmax. They will buy anything and usually give you a good price. The last thing I sold was an 08 Toyota 4Runner with +100k miles and a BUNCH of after market mods (large tires, debadged, custom grill, etc) and they gave me $9k. A bunch of stuff needed repairing and the check engine and some other service lights were on. I cleared them with a machine I got off Amazon. Haha

I wouldn’t buy a car from them though. They don’t really expect the ones the my sell all that well.
