Dog walker recommendations & cost?

👋 Any recommendations for dog walkers in the SW waterfront/wharf area?

I’m expecting, due at the end of August. Looking for someone who would be available to be “on call” to walk our pup, Ada, around the due date, and potentially pick up a couple of walks here and there after the birth. Ideally I would love to meet them / do an intro to Ada before then!

We have a plan for getting her to boarding for the days we are in the hospital, but would like a back up in case the person who needs to pick her up is delayed (they live ~1 hour away).

Also - how much should we pay a dog walker per walk?

Either use your local listserv to find a neighbor/neighbor's kid who can do this for you, or go the rover.com route. The latter can be used to comparison shop rates wherever you are, too.

Rover. And "on call" only works if you pay them for their availability regardless of whether you need them or not. No one is that desperate (or stupid).
