What time do your A and B meets start?

Based on friends in different leagues and different divisions, I see that there’s a difference when A and B meets officially begin (not counting warm ups). Tell me yours!

Our MCSL division starts B meets at 6pm and A meets at 9am.

I thought all mcsl a meets started at 9am, and b meets were at the discretion of the teams on Wednesday evenings, typically 5:30 or 6pm

We're CSL and A meet warm ups usually start at 7/7:30, with the meet at 8 AM.

NVSL…A meets start at 9am and B meets at 6pm, not including warmups.

+1. Although this season we have started a few of the A meets at 8 or 8:30 which has been awesome.

8:30 am sounds like a nice happy medium. We are CSL like a PP, and 8 am is painful. Warmups can be as early as 6:50. 9 am would give us more sleep but I imagine it’s really hot by the end.

NVSL - our home meets start at 8:30AM, all others we have swam at in the past few years were 9AM, except for occasional early start for heat.

That’s true for NVSL. The league start time is 9. It can vary for B meets depending on which B meet league you are in.

That seems like a good start time. Do you get blanket permission from NVSL to start at that time for every home meet or do you have to ask and have it granted each time?

PP - No clue. I've always assumed it was a deal worked out with the swimming pool so that it would be available to members earlier.

Though, this year, when they announced the start times, they did reference the heat as the reason. I don't remember that being the reason in the past, just how it was.
