Shockingly I’ve been very happy with my Viking built in. I was expecting it to be a disaster. 8 years in.

The guy who came to repair our 10 year old Samsung told me LGs are the worst. I was tempted to buy a new fridge but he told me the Samsung had another 5 years in it after a few adjustments he made for $200.

My LG french door just died this week, too. Repairman told me to stay away from LG and Samsung. Basically, they’re all garbage and nothing will last more than 8 years or so, regardless of how much you spend. I’m looking for the most no-frills models that will fit the space. The more bells and whistles, the more to break.

Get Samsung double door with freezer on the bottom from Costco.
If you’re like me turn off the ice maker that is where a lot of problems start.
Just buy ice from supermarket when you need it.

NOT Thermador. Could not be more disappointed.

That would be everyday, some families like ice cold drinks .

We love our subzero. 15 years and counting!

We bought a GE Profile French door refrigerator about 5-6 years ago and we’ve been very pleased. I just replaced my garage fridge with a Frigidaire French door a week ago, thanks to July 4th sales. The GE is nicer.

We also have a GE profile (although side-by-side), going on 18 years 😲

We've had our GE Cafe refrigerator for 12 years and all is well. Come to think of it, all of our GE kitchen appliances that came with the house we built are still working fine.

+1. We’ve had our Subzero 26 years. A few minor repairs over the years but it is still going strong.

We got a Samsung a few months ago ands are very happy with it. We got the model that has a transitional section which can be used as fridge or freezer. So far using it to store all beverages but love having the option. We’re also using the ice maker a lot more than we thought. You can customize the color of the panel doors and we had fun picking them out.

I had a GE Cafe before moving 13 months ago, and liked it very well. It replaced a Sears Kenmore branded but Whirlpool mfg fride which lasted perhaps 15 years. I now have a SubZero and am also happy with it.
