PGCPS HR Is A Disaster

There is a teacher shortage in PGCPS because HR takes over a month to process once you've been selected for hire. They are also just flat out rude when you need to contact them about anything. You basically have to do their job for them. I'd steer clear and seek other districts if you want to actually be onboarded for hire.

Aren't all government HR systems a dumpster fire? I'm a fed and we selected from the cert a month ago and they still don't have a start date.

No? DCPS has a 15 day time frame from the day the candidate is selected for hire to being fully onboarded. It’s a completely efficient system.

I work within in the school system and this is very true, HR is not the most useful and they are very rude. Be persistent! Do not match rude with rude. Even when you are in the system, it is still pretty bad. But welcome OP!
