recommendations for finding home health aide in DC

hi - i’m trying to sort through the best way to hire a home health aide for an aging parent in DC. Any recommendations from those who have been through it recently? thanks so much for any advice.

So, what makes you need just one? Is it respite care for someone?

What level of care does the person need?
The easiest way to start is an agency. You can ask a doctor or someone else involved already for a referral to one in DC. Agencies take a cut, but they’re the easiest way to get started imo.

We use Assisting Hands. Have been pretty happy. We pay 38$ and hour.
