Why do people get mad when you called Boneless wings- chicken nuggets?
It seems like they are offended eating chicken nuggets why? Do they think chicken nuggets are childish?

Yes, they think it's childish.
(It's the only kind of wing I will eat, but I own that I'm eating nuggets)

OMG. My in laws always talk about how much they love boneless wings, and it took me a while to understand that they are just chicken nuggets. It is a joke my husband and I make all the time.

That said, can we all agree how gross "saucy nuggs" sounds as a product?

They actually get mad? Then again, they’re eating chicken wingnug things.

Boneless wings aren’t chicken nuggets.

Just like chicken cutlets are not chicken nuggets.

I’d say chicken wings are akin to chicken cutlets but nothing like chicken nuggets.

My mom ate boneless chicken wings because as you get older it’s hard to navigate the bones…. Old eye, shaky hands, bad teeth.

They are whole chicken breast cut into the shape of wings breaded and fried and flavored like a wing… like a cutlet.

Nuggets are ground up chicken pieces including dark meat and skin then formed into “nuggets”, breaded and (usually ) fried.

Why are you intent on calling boneless chicken wings nuggets?

Do they?

I think it would be like calling a steak a burger.

Same ingredient, but not the same. Nuggies are ground meat, formed into a shape. Boneless wings are chunks of actual meat.

OP please tell me you understand these are not the same things.

She doesn't but she likes to make fun of her in-laws for innocuous things.

There was a lawsuit about this- someone sued a wing shop about boneless wings. So guess people really really care!

I'd give a pass if it were chicken strips vs boneless wings.

But neither of those are chicken nuggets.

I don't eat chicken, but boneless wings and chicken nuggets are not the same.
Anonymous
Because chicken nuggets are not chicken wings. The same way that a tender is not a thigh. But I don't see anyone getting mad over it.

Boneless wings are the same as "all white meat" chicken nuggets.

But unless it specifies "all white meat, chicken nuggets are often just chicken scraps including skin, dark meat and some white meat processed into a nugget.
