I forget that I do this, but it happens to me probably twice a year.
I’ll buckle down and cut calories or count points to lose some weight. I am someone who has a delayed reaction to my efforts—so I won’t lose for a few weeks, then I will and I feel great. I started that back in March, and I wasn’t feeling great until May. But then it’s time for summer and I’m feeling great and I loosen the reigns a little (not a lot! I barely drink alcohol or eat sugar, I’m eating the same things, just not measuring painstakingly) and at first it’s fine because I also have a delayed reaction to gaining weight, and I’m feeling like “wow, I can eat intuitively and not gain” but now it’s mid July and I’m feeling fluffy again. I’m 5’5 and yo yo in the 160s. I hate that I have to be careful forever and I’m not even slim after all my efforts.
So I am posting here for accountability I suppose. I need to stop making the assumption that I can eat intuitively, ever. Thanks for listening, and let me know if you have any suggestions for me!
