Falafel

Anyone have good recipes? I'd also love a good black bean burger recipe. My always fall apart when I cook them.

I have never managed to make them well so I just buy the frozen ones from Trader Joes or get a fix from Delias. Sorry.

This is our favorite black bean. I use the far east falafel mix.

This is the black bean burgers recipe I use. I've been asked for the recipe many times. I leave out the feta - it's just not the flavor profile I'm looking for in a BBB. These truly don't fall apart like all the others.

This is the one we like, we use canned chickpeas and oats instead of sorghum…it’s so easy the kids can do it!

I use Sean's falafel recipe from allrecipes. I flatten them to make little patties, and don't deep fry them, just shallow fry in a bit of olive oil.

I make these regularly

any one that does not include eggs?

Ok, so perhaps you are doing it wrong? I was. You cannot use canned chick peas. You also cannot use cooked chickpeas.

You need to soak dried chickpeas over night with a a bit of baking soda added to water. Drain and rinse. You processes the chickpeas post-soak, but not cooked.

The recipe itself says use sweet potato to replace the egg.
