I also dislike the entire state of Florida. It's the only place I've been where I've changed my flight to leave early.

I went to London recently and was admittedly underwhelmed. It was basically NY on another continent. I would go back, but not in a hurry. What I loved most about my visit to London was my day trip to The Cotswolds.

+1000 about Florida. I've been many times and I can't stand it. I'm now fortunately at a time in my life when I don't have to go back anymore. Frankly, if I never step foot in FL again I will be happy. There are many other fantastic places to go and I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

Didn't love Myrtle Beach. I'm not above a cheesy beach trip, but OC checks the box and is so much closer and easier. Can go there for just a night or two and be done with it.

I had heard such great things and found Amsterdam to be far dirtier than Brussels, Rome, Lyon, Bratislava, etc. (i.e. cities that are supposedly less well-kept but I'd take any of them over Amsterdam).

Damn. Amsterdam and the tulips have been on my list forever. I'm glad I read this so my expectations will be more realistic.

I went to Amsterdam during King's Day and it wasn't filled with trash and King's Day is a different beast. Go see the tulips, just expect to do it slowly mashed with other people. But it was still worth it!
