Any European Christmas markets open the last week of November?

Anonymous
I’d like to see the European Christmas markets, and would prefer to visit during the Thanksgiving break, as prices there tend to be cheaper during that time and the weather is better than December.

Are any Christmas markets open that early, that you can recommend?

I know that the ones in Vienna open middle of November. They are great!

We went to Austria to see Christmas markets at the end of November, and we saw them in Vienna and Salzburg. It is a magical time to visit.

But just figure out where you think you want to go and start checking the internet. I do think there are some that don't open until December.

They almost all have websites these days and you can check per destination. I do know the one in Aix-en-Provence is open from mid-November. It's not as good/big as the German, Austrian or larger Parisian markets. Paris has a bunch of different ones but IIRC most are open in December only. Been a few years!

I was in Prague last week of November last year and yes there were several Christmas markets in full swing. They were lovely.

I am also interested in these. Is there a central place to find this info?

Google the city and Christmas markets and you'll get the info. German ones tend to wait till December 1st. Copenhagen was opening up in late November.

Having seen many markets, my favorite is easily Vienna.

The Tuileries Christmas Market was open when we spent Thanksgiving in Paris a few years ago. It was a lovely time to visit.
