which one did you go? I thought July 4th weekend would be crazy crowded there. We have not been to Great Wolf Lodge, can someone tell me which one would you rather go to, the Perrysville one or Williamsburg one for first timer?

Six flags was awesome.

Was at the Perryville one a few weeks ago, was super crowded and slides closed due to thunderstorms. Kind of a bust.

But it’s indoors? Why would thunderstorms close indoor slides?

Just got back from the Poconos. Went to camel beach and the family enjoyed.

NP. Because the bigger water slides have tubes that extend outside of the building. And most of the indoor attractions will share water. So, a lightning strike that hits one of the water tubes or something outside of the building can send electricity to the water slides and the shared water can conduct that electricity through most of the water attractions. In many GWL, only one or two of the indoor facilities will not share the same water. Mostly things like the kiddie pool and/or one other indoor attraction.

Is there any credit or partial refund when closures like that happen? Thunderstorms don't typically last that long
