The Potomac is full of living stuff that grows in it. Plants. Algae. Microbes. Plankton. Invertebrates. Shellfish. Crustaceans. Fish. Amphibians. Reptiles. Do you even understand how rivers work?

I damn sure would NOT drink water from a river where there was very little life. That’s a major red flag that something is wrong with that water.
