What are your thoughts on the recent comments made by Kevin Robert’s over at Heritage?

| He openly threatened the American public and the Democrats, and yet he's not been arrested. If a regular citizen said they were leading a second revolution and that it would be bloodless so long as no one resists, they would be arrested. I fear that he is correct, that Democrats will in fact do nothing to oppose what is happening. |
+1 mind blowing indeed. We are sliding into fascism and people like PP seem happy about it. |
The democracy of a secret shadow government running our country behind the scenes? That’s our democracy? |
| A number of old school Republicans I know cringed when I mentioned the comments from Kevin Roberts. Is he to be taken seriously? Is this a serious threat, or some empty promise? |
It’s serious and if you still don’t see think you aren’t paying attention. I fear it’s too late but refusing to submit in advance. |
|
"Unfortunately, it’s the Left that has a long history of violence, so it’s up to them to allow a peaceful transfer of power.”"
I guess he still thinks 1/6 terrorists were just "tourists".
|
| Yeah, I bet Roberts is a real fighter, letting everyone else do the dirty work. Wimp. |
| Despite what anyone thinks about Biden, the GOP must know they’re in trouble in November to be making such an inflammatory statement the day before July 4th. They are very desperate to get their voters out before they are over the demographic cliff, except the last guy has high unfavorables even among the elderly, too. Maybe killing off their voters with Covid wasn’t such a great idea. |
I do think there is a degree of desperation to them. To so openly threaten millions of us, effectively saying we’re all at risk if we don’t submit to their diabolical plans is odd. It is a terroristic threat and I hope someone is actually treating it like the threat it is. I’ve reached out to my representatives. |
Please. My GOPfascist Congressman probably wants this to happen. But I don't think he is going to be too happy if we wind up having anarchy and the country tanks. |

So I was curious, who gave this man a PhD?
It's in American history, from Texas. His thesis? Slaves and Slavery in Louisiana: The Evolution of Atlantic World Identities, 1791-1831 https://repositories.lib.utexas.edu/server/api/core/bitstreams/a81a0ff2-08c5-4534-823e-b64c7d92fea3/content |
I am sorry you have a GOP representative. Mine are all Democrats and part of my letter was asking them to do something concrete instead of the regular stern looks and strongly worded letters. Use the king like powers the office of president has now. Enlarge the Supreme Court. Arrest this terrorist yahoo who is threatening over half the country. Do something real FFS. But I’m pretty much limited to writing letters and voting. |
I wonder this too, but it does tie to the other discussions on this site of the GOP being overconfident. And if you look at the Project 2025 thread, someone is now justifying that no-fault divorce is a good thing. As scary as these comments are, I'm glad they are saying the quiet parts aloud so they can be exposed for their domestic terrorism. |
Unfortunately, this man has not broken any laws and he is just using his First Amendment rights. But that doesn’t mean it should stop us from doing everything we can to keep Maga from coming back into power. This is not a drill folks. This is real stuff people who think it’s funny or isn’t gonna be so bad or they will benefit from a Trump presidency Just ask folks Venezuela how they’re doing |
