My older child wants to go, wondering if we should take the 3 year old as well. Advice? It's fairly expensive, is it better to wait until they are older? Thinking about a daytime game. Thanks for any advice.
I'd leave the three year old at home. That way your older child can really enjoy the game. You too. I wish they'd start winning!
I was thinking about this too - Sunday is "family day". My 6 year old kid likes soccer but isn't a huge fan. Good idea the day before school starts or better to wait 7:09?

It's an afternoon game? Sure on the day before school. She finished her summer reading, right? (Teasing). Have you been?

You may want to sit on the side of the stadium behind the benches. As fantastic as the Screaming Eagles and Barra Brava are, it may be a bit much for a kid to absorb for a first game.
Agree, definitely sit on the team side!
no - the games start at like 8pm.

We have season tix and have been taking DD since she was 5 weeks old. Now she is 2 and loves cheering and clapping and yelling "Goal". We bring snacks and dolls and books for when she gets bored but generally she is busy checking out the people and the jumbotron thing and the game.
We take her to the 7pm / 8pm games and she makes it through most of them but if she hits her wall we just leave. |
10:14 Right but she doesn't have an older sibling. I think OP should make this her older child's day. That way parents and child can give their full attention to the experience. The younger child can go next time!
