Yougov conducted a poll where they asked people whether they approved a list of policies without specifying whether each policy was proposed by Biden or Trump.
https://today.yougov.com/politics/articles/49861-who-wins-on-policy-support-for-biden-and-trump-proposals Trump's highest policy here (phasing out imports of essential goods from China) came in at 55%. Fourteen different Biden policies rated above this one. Overall 24 of the 28 Biden policies received over 50% support, while 6 of the 28 Trump policies received over 50% support. |
| Maybe because his policies aren't really old... |

Sure, free stuff is popular.
Open borders, inflation, and foreign policy disasters? Um…hey, did we mention the free stuff? |
Trump gave out free stuff too - to big corporations and the wealthy. |
|
Biden got bridges built.
First time a generation anyone invested in out infrastructure. I like bridges and roads. |
| What about Trump's wall that we did not even need to pay for? |
Which Americans are loving the Democrat open borders policy? The families of the people murdered by illegals and poisoned by fentanyl? |
| I like both Biden's policies and Biden himself. But the policies are much more important to me. |
And we are paying for it via inflation. Don’t pretend those bridges aren’t paid for by the hard earned money of the poor who couldn’t afford it. |
This is the result of years of disinformation. People have been lied to and told that Trump's policies are fantastic, and that Biden's policies are awful, and many people believe what they have been told, whereas in reality they don't actually know what the policies are. |
Republicans like Trump give massive tax cuts to the rich and to corporations, it's the middle class that ends up bearing the brunt of those costs, it's the middle class that feels the pain. But no, that's not what's driving inflation. |

This resonates with me as I like Biden’s policies (with the exception of the military spending and support for foreign wars) much better than I like him as President.
|
Really? What do you like about Biden as a person? |
Yes but also it’s the “liberal” media’s well documented history of denigrating Democrats whoever they are. We can all remember (or look back at the front pages to refresh our memory) the insanely giddy coverage Trump got as they BUTTEREMAILSed the crap out of Clinton. The horrific hatred of Biden really started with the Afghan pullout and a reasonable person would conclude that because many of the corporations that own the media are also deeply invested in or also own arms manufacturers. They stood to lose massively by not having that front in a hot war and they were pissed. Most people do not want Project 2025. They want work done on climate change so we have food to eat and can continue to cool ourselves. Normal Americans don’t want the corruption the GOP is forcing on us (hello, John Roberts, you and your fascist court suck). But the media wants the Republicans in power. So they attack Democrats. Here’s the result. |
DP. He seems like a really decent guy, like a good solid person. |
