If you've shopped most/all of the minivans recently, what were your impressions on both quality, looks and price? I see the updated Kia 2025 has just started to hit dealers but no work on 2025 Sienna or Odyssey. I assume Siennas are still nearly impossible to get so will probably rule it out on that alone.
Thoughts? (We have an older Odyssey and know we want another van so no need to debate that aspect of it.) |
| We're looking to upgrade our CR-V to a minivan and we'll probably end up in a Toyota Sienna for the hybrid engine. I'm still waiting on the 2025 Odyssey announcement but Reddit gossip seems to indicate it's going to be an update, not the announcement of a hybrid or even electric version, so I'm not holding my breath. A few parents at our preschool have the Pacifica but my husband is very down on Chrysler, and their electric version doesn't come in an 8 seat variation so I'm not interested either. I wonder what the wait is if we go with a new Sienna - or if they're planning significant upgrades this model year. |
OP here. Yeah, pretty sure this is the 2025 Odyssey, so minor updates only. The poster said there was a crew photographing and filming it, likely for the Honda website. I imagine we will hear in the next month or two. https://www.reddit.com/r/HondaOdyssey/comments/1dcb0pf/2025_odyssey_broll_footage/ I like Sienna, but I'm just so so put off by the pricing. A similarly equipped Sienna will be $6-8k more than Odyssey. I don't think I can do it. |
| We’re waiting to find out if the 2025 odyssey has AWD and/or 360 camera. |
My prediction is no to the first and yes to the second. |
| Go with the tweaked Odyssey rather than the first year model hybrid Sienna. First year models are notorious for problems |
Sienna’s been hybrid for several years now. Any changes this year will just be mid model changes if that. Toyota hasn’t said yet. But I am planning to go Odyssey on price alone but just wondering what I’m missing. Nobody seems to be really considering Kia or Chrysler. |
