We moved to the area in February and missed the normal AAP application process and will apply to AAP over the summer. DC took the NNAT at school this spring and received a score of 140. DC took Cogat through JMU a few weeks ago and received a score of 132, but it included 113 verbal score. We are only required to include one test in the AAP application. DC attends a high SES school in the Langley pyramid. Will submitting the Cogat score likely help or hurt DC’s chances? There are no appeals for summer applications and we’re new to AAP so I appreciate the advice. |
NNAT is (supposedly) the least valued test, but a 132 CoGat would likely be low for the Langley pyramid. |
Ask the AART. They will be helpful. |
Why are you applying for AAP if DC is in high school? AAP ends in middle school. |
From the original post, it clearly states the child is in a high SES school in the Langley pyramid, not in Langley high school. |
This. Even if she misread it, what high schooler would be taking the NNAT in school and the CogAT through GMU? |
