Looking for suggestions on a light compact travel friendly toddler car seat? We have a generic big seat for the toddler in the other car but would like a lighter option for my car and one we can lug around during travel.
Appreciate any feedback. Thanks! |

Not big enough for an actual toddler. |
I really hate this car seat |

The car seat vest!!!!! I have three kids and this has been the number one life changing kid product for me. Can't recommend enough.

Um, it goes to 40 lbs. Forward and rear facing. Unless the toddler is exceptionally tall or heavy, it's big enough for an actual toddler. |

Why? It's one of the simplest seats I've used. |
NP we always get them with rental cars and I find them really hard to secure. |
We also had a hard time installing it. Hated it so much we gave it away. |
| We had it and loved it. Sure, takes more than 40 seconds to tighten it, but otherwise it was completely fine. |
| Graco tranzitions. Lightweight. The seat detaches from the back, so in that sense you can sort of fold it up a bit. We lugged it through many airports- you do just need a bag for it since it separates into 2 parts. It's rf, ff, backed booster, and backless booster - so you should never need another seat, for just a little over $100. |
The Graco Tranzitions does not rear face (rf); its only a ff harness, hbb and backless booster. Still an awesome seat though once your kid is ffing. |
Love the Scenera but its usually outgrown by height (rear facing due to the one inch rule) of forward facing because the harness straps no longer come from above the shoulders long before 40lbs. My first kid outgrew it around 2.5; second kid will outgrow it around 3 and neither was anywhere near 40 lbs. |
