Ekkono Method

I’ve googled this but I’m still not entirely sure what it is.

I know Bethesda has been pushing it out. Can anyone share what exactly it is and how it’s incorporated into training and/or development?

But isn’t soccer IQ taught all the time? It’s part and parcel of training and development. What is different about the Ekkono Method?

So this just sounds like what coaching and training should always be, assuming development of players is the priority. If this is being implemented at BSC, what was happening before? Is this a way to standardize coaching, maybe?

This means they sent a coach to get a coaching certificate in this area. As payback for their investment, they can say the incorporate this method now.

gotcha. I'm sure the 3rd team at bethesda will eclipse the 1st team because of this magical coaching method.

In BSC they demote coaches who develop players and do not win tournaments and vice versa. that's how they attract dump parents, not by development of kids but by winning tournaments. final result is sad.

This may be true on the boys side, but the girls are more possession style.

it is not even funny, possession at u10 (2014) when no one can juggle 50 times and zero ball skills. They teach kids at uLittle what they supposed to teach them at u14 and higher. But sometimes it allows to win tournaments.
uLittle it is all about soccer techniques and ball control. who play tiki taka at u10 done with soccer at u17. you can find european academies games in youtube. high intensity, lots of dribble,
lots of transitions, lots of individual tactics, no real team tactics, no kicking (long directional passes are ok sometimes), it is better to loose ball when you dribble than kick. Here at uLittle to much team tactic or kicking. it is bad for development good for temporary team result. "more possession style" for Ulittle is marketing like ekkono method to grab more money from parents.

New to the soccer scene but Bethesda U11 were one of the strongest possession-based sides I have seen. DC Soccer, shockingly, also have a strong possession-based side with some aggressive attacking players (I know they do not have the track record). What are the clubs who develop players if BSC and DC Soccer are not? I would like to explore the options.
