Didn’t watch the Tik Tok but the biggest golden retriever guy I know has found a black cat gf and he’s head over heels for her. I think it’s the sweetest thing to see. Opposites attract and all that.

No duh I mean his personality type. He is a golden retriever boyfriend: loveably goofy, playful, over-excited, tells bad jokes constantly, fluffy blond hair. She is taciturn and aloof and way more introverted than he. It’s really cute!

My thoughts? This is profoundly stupid.

I'm a writer, so I am a fan of good metaphor, but SM memes/aesthetics/etc are generally trash, and often just a way to hold your attention as you are marketed at.

That’s not the metaphor. As a pp mentioned above— it’s just high attachment and low attachment. The golden is more into the cat. The cat is not that into you. It has nothing to do with personality.
