Help! Any info on Kindercare or Childtime Centers

Help! Does anyone have reviews, recommendations, info about Kindercare or Childtime Centers they can share with me?

Seems from what I've read that the quality of care at Kindercare centers can vary drastically depending on the location. My child is in the infant room at one and we are very happy there. However, I know that the center has more issues in the older class rooms (more turnover) so I'm already looking into places to move him when he reaches that age. Do you have any specific locations or age groups in mind?

I took a tour at the Crabbs Branch Way location for my 3 year old. Do you have any information about the teachers at that level?

My child goes to kindercare at crabbs branch: I would give it a mixed review. The teacher turnover is high, administration (particularly Winnie the director) is a nightmare. They are commercial: there was a gym like space at the center of the school: they partitioned it and have started extra classrooms for 5 yr olds. Compared to the fees, the place is sub-par, and teachers paid badly (which is why they leave). There is a turnover of kids as well.... Well, would I recommend it? I am mixed about it. I like the teacher and probably that's the only reason we're sticking out. Next year we will probably pull our child out.

Look around: see if you find better options.

My daughter is currently at Childtime in Bethesda. She is almost 2, so I can't speak to the preschool curriculum but I can speak to the center itself -- it is clean, and the administration is pleasant and helpful. The location of this particular center is not ideal (in an office building on busy street with very limited playground), but otherwise we're pretty happy with it. I wish they were a little more organized in some ways (e.g., some mornings there are sign-in sheets, some mornings I have to find them) and I'm not sure the staff as always as attentive/engaging as I'd like them to be, but I think I might feel that way anywhere that is really more a daycare facility than a preschool. My daughter will be attending another preschool in the fall.
