| Such as Pine Crest? Also, specifically how it compares to Big 3 here? |
| Sorry, I do not have a private high school in Boca. |
OP here— I meant experience with private hs in that area. |

Pinecrest has an extremely competitive educational environment. Those kids are worn down but extremely successful in the long run. Have many friends who attended and would not send their kids back because of this.
St. Andrews, in my circle there's only positive things brought up to me by parents who's kids attend. My best friends daughter in elementary goes there and they love it. American Heritage also very good, sports focused, stem focused. I think it had the reputation of being easiest to get into out of those 3, but now all are hard to get into because of demand. |
Thanks for this feedback--is Pinecrest harder than Sidwell? |

Very familiar with pine crest. Like any other school in the dmv, PC is known for its curriculum and college placement. To say it’s “harder” is not fair.
What PC does do differently than dc privates is that their curriculum is mostly AP driven. If I remember correctly DC privates a few years back decided together with other privates to abandon AP altogether. That is not the case at PC. Like any other school, it has its good points and bad. From a reputation standpoint, however, it is extremely well known in boca and FTL. |

My friend's daughter attended Pine Crest and it turned a once sweet girl into a nightmare.

Yikes, how so? |
| St Thomas Aquinas is good. Fantastic for sports. |
| Florida doesn't have the culture of parentally competitive schooling. You pick a school and you pay and you go. |
It's better in most respects, including not attracting the "hard and harder" crowd. |
| I went to Cardinal Gibbons in the late 90s and have all good things to report. |
You obviously haven’t been to Miami… |
