Best aquarium in the US?

I have a teen who loves aquariums. We have a few days in August earmarked for travel.

Which aquarium is worth traveling to? The only one we know is the one in Baltimore. Monterey Bay? Georgia Aquarium?

I actually liked monterryy better than atlanta aquarium. Seemed calmer and more eco.

I love aquariums. Shedd in Chicago is my favorite, but Monterey CA is the best.

Take him to a city where you can aquarium one day and go whale watching the next. You can do that in Monterey, and I believe August is still Orca season!

I was coming here to post the same. There are a ton of other sea creature related activities in Monterey, so that would be my suggestion.

Boston may be a good place for this. Their aquarium isn’t as big as Georgia but we had a good time there.

Monterey Bay Aquarium is pretty good, expansive and a lot to see. And there’s a lot to do up and down route 1 not far from there

My kid is also obsessed with aquariums and we have been to the Baltimore aquarium, Adventure aquarium in Camden NJ and the one in Mystic, CT. Of these 3, our favorite is Adventure aquarium, it’s a good size and well laid out

I was going to suggest Camden too, it’s close and you can do whale watching on the shore the next day.
