Meds?

I plan to chat with DC's doc.

DC is typically diagnosed with ADHD, Asperger's, anxiety, and is at risk for depression. Currently, he is only taking medication for ADHD. Despite this, he continues to face challenges with social interactions and emotional regulation. I have always been conservative about his medication. Am I withholding my child from enjoying life to the fullest by not allowing him to try other medications? We heard of SSRI, never tried it. He is 10.

An SSRI was life changing for my child with similar diagnoses and challenges. Work with a psychiatrist and start with a small dose.

Combination of anxiety and ADHD meds works best for my kid with both (no autism). It's worth trying.

This is what we’re doing. Added a small starting dose of Prozac. We’ve seen improvements in his anxiety.
