Hello. I am bringing dessert to party this weekend. Serving 12. What will hold up in the heat. We will be in the car for about 20 minutes. What do you like for a summer party?

Any fruit pies. Key lime and the lime need to stay cold. A good old fashioned apple pie will be fine.

But I also routinely bring jello squares that I pack in a Tupperware, surrounded in ice, in a cooler. Holds up fine if it’s not in the direct sun.

Fruit pie, cobbler, cookies without chocolate chips

You could look to Southeast Asia or other tropical places for inspiration. Mango sticky rice, fruit salads with tropical fruits, bananas stewed in coconut milk, etc
