Obama's Islamic America

Between the immigration issue, the Mosque protests, and Charlie Rangel / Maxine Waters, the Republicans are going to be in the unenviable position of attacking three minority groups at the same time. And there's not a thing they can do about it.

I don't know if it's fair, because Rangel had it coming and there is no way they can avoid it. But there is a moth-to-flame element about this. They can't help themselves, and it means they won't be able to talk about much else between now and election time. When you really don't like minorities, it comes out even when you don't want it to. They may be able to pick up a few seats in the short term, but long term this spells doom for the party.

Have no fear, Moonies: I'm pretty sure the U.S. is destined to be Christianic for a long long time to come.

I doubt the GOP will have as much of a problem in Blue States as DEMs will have in Blue States.

They really are the absolute *worst* this country has to offer. It's as though they were in the back of the room carving swastikas into their desks every single day of Civics class.

Please! What absolute nonsense.

Like I said, they may be able to pick up seats in the short term. But what does it matter if the party is doomed in 20 years?

Republoicans need to wake up. Either they focus on limited government, low taxes, and pro-business growth, or they spend their remaining time of relevance alienating one group after another until what's left is no longer capable of electing a president ever again.

The GOP has won the popular vote for President ONCE in the past 20 years: 2004. They lost in 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2008.

The GOP should be able to pick up seats in the short-term.

But if they continue to alienate newly-arrived Hispanics, that'll prove problematic in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, and Texas.

Going full nativist might help them get blue-collar voters in the Rust Belt, but lose them voters among libertarian-leaning yuppies in the Mid-Atlantic and Pacific Northwest.

Actually Democrats are the ones opening the borders to Hispanics and then hoping to grant them all citizenship in an effort to create a new voting bloc a la African Americans. Then they expect Republicans (i.e. highest earners) to pay for their entitlements.

Sorry, but if you've got a problem with building churches in Manhattan because of "the events of 9/11" you're pure scum, and don't deserve to live in this country. At least the dirtballs who are playing this thing for political advantage are doing so out of pure cynicism. It's the people who actually *believe* this shit who should have their citizenship revoked and put on the first plane out of the country.

And, no, the GOP supports open borders, regardless of what they tell the rubes who make up the "teabagger" wing of the party. That's why they have never, and will never do anything to put an end to it.

You guys are there to supply votes in order to enact the GOP "cheap labor" agenda. Period. And illegal immigration is a huge component of that.
