We have clothes is good condition and used textbooks. What’s best online site to sell these things? Anything we should be aware of/tips?
|
|
Nobody is going to buy your used textbooks. Throw them away.
Donate your clothes to a thrift shop. |
|
Type the ISBNs into Amazon or Powells and if they don't take the books consider it a sign to get rid of them.
With clothes you pay in time to earn the money. Join BST groups or Poshmark and take lots of really nice pictures. |
|
Books, forget it, just donate to library.
I'd donate the clothes, too. When I tried to sell clothes on ebay it was such a horrible experience that I quit. Almost every buyer complained about used clothes not being perfect and wanted a partial or full refund. |
|
Poshmark is not too bad, just not worth the effort.
If this is about money, open an investment account with about $500-$1000 and learn to invest. |
| Another adding- save your time and sanity and donate. Are you new here? Even people with "good brands" and "NWT" are advised to donate. Clothes are over-abundant these days. Don't even get me started with books. |
|
Just donate your clothes.
I've sold some on Poshmark, but it isn't worth the effort. And people really only want certain things. Like a pair of once-work Michael Kors sneakers sold almost right away. Much nicer stuff listed for almost nothing hasn't. I don't have the time or inclination to play the SM game on Poshmark, and if you don't, your stuff will never get seen by anyone and it won't sell. |

Check local recycling. Rockville used to allow textbooks in the brown bins. I think they still do. I dumped many of mine. |
Wrong. There is a market on eBay and abebooks for used textbooks. |
People like you who just type "WRONG" are just awful. Do you get a high from being so rude? You could have said something like "Actually, there is a market for used books" but instead you're just a jerk. You post like this all the time, too, and it's so obvious that it's you over and over again trying to do a "gotcha" sort of thing with people. Dude, NOBODY CARES if there is a market for used books or not. It's trash to most people. |
DP. That’s OP’s question you idiot. Why are people on this board so disgusting? NOBODY CARES What you think whether the OP should sell or donate. The question was whether there was a market. |
PP said nothing wrong. Selling used books today is a pain, but buyers are often thrilled to have them. Your ad hominem diatribe is unhelpful. |
| Sellbackyourbooks.com. You won’t get much $$, but they pay for shipping and you get them out of your house. |
|
Op. Thank you for recommendations about Abe books. It does appear the books I want to sell are going for $100-175 each so I will see if it works. They are special math books so I think it might be niche market. Will post back in case anyone is interested if there are buyers/active demand based on the active posts on this question. Clothes do seem harder, but will try Poshmark. May have teen kid do photos and manage that and then teen can but earnings in custodial IRA account as I’m not sure I have energy to manage all these Have a great summer and appreciate the advice!
