Just got a new duvet cover that I LOVE; up til now we've just used a comforter. However, the comforter slips down inside the cover, so that if I pull the covers up, I just get duvet cover fabric and no comforter. Does anyone have a solution to what must be a pretty common question?
Yes - my husband thinks I"m insane to want a comforter at all in this weather, but it makes me happy

| Some of the covers come with ties at each inside corner that you can attach to the little loop that many duvets have at each corner. You could probably sew/construct your own, although it might be a bit of a pain. Or maybe just stick a bit of velcro on the inside of the cover and on the duvet in a couple of places? |

I found out that getting a slightly smaller duvet helps. You need to measure your comforter and then compare the size on the duvet package. I always had this problem and realized that my queen comforter was several inches smaller than my queen duvet (you figure the sizing would be standard!).
Until I figured it out, I used safety pins, although i do like the idea of the ties....doubt I'll ever get the time to actually sew them, though. |
| I don't do anything except try to arrange it so the excess is at the foot of the bed. |
