What do the sashes and cords represent at the APS HS graduations?

I've seen:
yellow sashes pink cords dark blue cross yellow and green cords light blue cords What do they mean? We didn't have anything other than a cap and gown back in my day. |

| Various honors societies, perhaps a certain GPA, & things like that. We had chords in my day, too. |

| My kids are in Prince William county but in our school the pink represents music accomplishments. I did a google search and it seems that's what it represents for most schools. |
