I'm new..could somebody fill me in on the lingo like..what is a RE?

RE - reproductive endocrinologist/infertility doc
BFN - big fat negative (negative pregnancy test)
BFP - big fat positive (positive pregnancy test)
OPK - ovulation predictor kit
HPT - home pregnancy test
POAS - pee on a stick/use a HPT

fwiw - for what it's worth
DH, DS, DD = dear husband, son, daughter. You may also see DC - dear child.

What is IUI and D&C?

IUI - intrauterine insemination (minimally invasive infertility procedure)
D&C - dilation & curretage (procedure to remove products of conception due to miscarriage)

Wow steep learning curve here for us newbies! here's a few more that I've run across:
DOR, AMA, H+P (on my family doctors report), C+S (listed among pap results), and MFI???

C+S may be cervical cultures and H+P is probably history and physicial, no idea what hpi is.
