Pick up soccer this summer for teens

Can teens join the various adult soccer pickups around the DMV? Do any clubs have regular night time pick up sessions in the summer?

many pickup games are somewhat invite only - especially if crossing cultures
some adult games are friendlier and safer than others, some are not so much and the familiarity is what keeps it relatively safe (so if your teen is not familiar to the group, it may not be a good experience to say it politely)

why not organize your own

Not the PP, but how about for Boys, 2009-2012, MLSNext/ECNL level

just pull up to falls church HS any time of the summer and you will find a 30v30 game taking place on a 2x2 goal

Maybe not what you are looking for becuase its not on grass/turf and not in the burbs but lots of benefits to offseason futsal and there are several basketball/tennis converted to futsal/street soccer style courts at Rec Centers throughout DC. Check out Randall Rec SW on Thursday nights and Fort Lincoln Park NE on Friday nights this summer if you want a run. The games vary in competiveness but its typically a very technical and friendly group of mostly teen boys and some girls
